Sakes Alive!! is a punk rock band from Rochester, NY. Three releases in (demo, two 7 inch EPs), various songs expected for the rest of 2010 and into 2011.

Can Sakes Alive!! play my show/basement/festival?

Currently, no to all three counts. Sakes Alive!! is a one-man recording operation. Although it’s entirely possible in the future, the main goal right now is to write and record awesome music.

Fests might be a possibility if I can find fill-ins. So if you’d like SA!! to play, shoot an email to contact@sakesalive.org.

So…is Sakes Alive!! still a band?

Yes. But not in the conventional sense. Band as in a unit (of one) that records music and releases it.

Can you send my zine/radio show/label/whatever a promo package for review/interview?

Honestly, Sakes Alive!! and the labels it runs with is a SMALL operation. Money doesn’t flow from these guitars. And since the releases are dominantly vinyl, the cost to hand out records is crazy. As much as it would rule to give anyone and everyone a promo, it’s not possible.

However, we’re more than happy to hand out zip files containing any and all promo material for you to review and use. Email us if you’re interested.
